A Little Background Check

The company began with passion for longboards. The team members scavenged wheels and trucks and retrofitted every piece of wood they came across and built skate ad longboards. After much trial and error they launched their first board called The Vanguard in 2002. By 2009, a fledging longboard industry had been established. Their actions circle around the belief that business is an opportunity for developing ethical systems of responsible practices. They have been experiencing their most creative product development era. They are passionate about materials, are committed to environmentally conscious design and production, appreciate the subtleties of process and are devotees of functionally driven design. Their products are created and designed by small project-specific in-house team along with inputs from the entire in-house crew. The strength of each project team is built on a foundation of trust, maximizing individual strengths, accountability, intellectual rigor and constructive criticism.
